Welcome! Legacy Stables is a peaceful 32-stall private boarding facility in Poughquag, NY. We treat your horse as our own and provide quality, personalized and reliable care at an affordable price. Owned by experienced barn manager and prior veterinary technician Kait, Legacy Stables offers customizable packages for each horse, ranging from full-care stall board to rough pasture board. State-of-the art riding facilities including an indoor arena with GGT footing are available to our boarders and clients.

Legacy Stables is a family-owned business. Kait is a lifelong equestrian with 20+ years of experience caring for and riding horses. She has been managing horse farms for the past decade and also has extensive professional experience as a prior veterinary technician. Kait purchased the 84-acre property and built her childhood dream barn, Legacy Stables. She designed it with the horses' welfare and happiness as the #1 priority. Kait personally manages the horses along with her mother, fiancé Cody, and a team of professional grooms.
